Contribution Day

Wednesday, November 6, 9:00am to 5pm

What is contribution day?

A contribution day is a day where people get together to work on one particular goal. In this case, we’re working on various Drupal issues. Issues can be making patches, reviewing/testing other's patches, reporting issues, creating or updating documentation, or anything else that helps Drupal become better.

Are you new to tech, not a coder, or never visited the issue queues?

That’s perfectly fine! There will be mentors available for those who need a little help to get started.

Not everyone who works on open source projects is a developer. Smaller tasks help the less experienced gain confidence and experience, which, in turn, leads to more contributions. Code is very important, but so are all the other parts.

For DrupalCorn Camp, we will concentrate on Drupal 8 issues and contributed projects. Basically, we’ll look at all the Drupal 8 issues, and make sure we understand them.

There are plenty of contributed projects and themes that have issues in their queues.

Let's work together!

It's a lot of fun when you get into it. It’s an excellent opportunity to meet other contributors, help collaborate and brainstorm, and move the Drupal project forward.

Honestly, it's a pretty good time.

What to bring?

A laptop and a positive attitude is all you really need to start collaborating. If you need help setting up a local Drupal environment, there will be folks on hand to help.

Lunch will be provided. Please register so we can order the right amount of food.
